Hello Marsh Lake!

Just when you were thinking about taking the winter tires off...Mother Nature provides that little nudge...wake up folks, you live in the Yukon! Spring road conditions can be tricky, and we wish everyone safe travels!. Here's what's up and coming in the community over the next while.

This Week at the Centre:

• Marsh Lake Community Society Meeting - Wednesday, April 25th, 7 pm....everyone welcome!
• "Yukon Women in Music" Concert and Appie Night!...FRIDAY, APRIL 27TH, 8 pm AT THE JACKALOPE !
  Join us for an evening of music by some very talented Yukon women, including recording artist Kate Weekes, Nicole Bauberger, Helen Beaulieu and Erica Heyligers! Advance tickets - $10/person; $12 at the door. This week we're offering an entirely different menu of appies and a dinner option to enjoy! Hope to see you there!
• "Simi's Good-Bye Party" at the Jackalope, on Friday, May 4th. The centre staff and the ML Community Society Board invites you to drop by and visit with Simi...and wish her well in her new life!
• The Women's Clothing Exchange fundraiser has been POSTPONED until Sunday, May 13th from 10am-1pm.
  The postponment is at the request of some community members and event volunteers. So that gives you a couple of extra weeks to go through your closets. We are looking for good quality, clean items to be donated and dropped off at the Community Centre by Saturday May 12th at noon. Then on Sunday, May 13th from 10am-1pm, take a few minutes from Mother's Day Brunch and browse great items to buy.

Mother's Day Brunch - Sunday, May 13th - Sittings: 10 am and 11:30 am. $15/adult; $5/child. Reservations now open...call 660-4999 or email us!

Marsh Lake Solid Waste Society AGM May 2nd, 7 pm Community Centre
We're looking for board members. Would you like to help build a creative and progressive transfer station that will help the community see garbage differently? We want you.
Marsh Lake Community Society AGM - Wednesday, May 16th - 7 pm. ~ seeking new board members!
